Derek Ross is a Seattle-based painter and airbrush artist known for photorealistic portraits, automotive art, wall murals, and custom work. A native of Seattle, Washington, Ross brings precision, creativity, and a lifelong passion for art to every piece.
“It just kind of chose me,” Ross says of the artwork that has been part of his life since childhood. From the moment he could pick up a pencil and put it on paper, Ross was drawing what he saw and finding new ways to express himself.
By age seven, Ross could sit down, zone into his designs, and lose himself in the process. He started with simple car drawings and developed them into detailed, complicated pieces, building his craft from humble beginnings with little more than a pencil and paper.
Ross has developed his craft across a wide range of subjects, from portraits of loved ones and pets to passion pieces inspired by favorite bands, sports teams, and personal interests. If it can be painted, Ross is ready to bring it to life. His motto is simple: “Just paint it.”
